What the Role Looks Like:

We currently have a number of nightshift opportunities based in Christchurch, Ashburton and Timaru for experienced Class 5 drivers looking to work in a highly skilled and dynamic team operating a top-notch fleet. Prior Container Operator experience would be an advantage and any experience with swinglifts would also be beneficial, although training can be given. 

Typical routes:

• Christchurch based position – varied role, from occasional Westport linehaul to Springs Junction container swaps, to helping in a tip-truck on fertiliser boat discharges or in a container truck carting containers. An adaptable and self-motivated approach is essential. 
• Ashburton based position – between Ashburton and Christchurch
• Timaru based position – between Timaru and Christchurch or Dunedin 

Your attention to safety, maintenance, and vehicle operation will reflect the high standards our loyal customers and suppliers expect and drivers must be clean and tidy with good habits around in-cab presentation. Flexibility is required to suit business and seasonal needs.

Work Pattern:

Full-time, permanent role with a regular roster:

• Nightshift – 5pm start (some 3-5pm starts)
• Sunday – Thursday, or Monday – Friday + occasional weekends
• Average shift: 8 –12 hours

What You Bring to the Table:

• Class 5 Licence (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience - you’re flexible and reliable.
• F endorsement & OSH certificate (preferred, but not essential)
• Good geographical knowledge of the Canterbury region 
• A knack for learning new technology – show us your adaptability!
• A passion for teamwork and customer service
